2026 GAA Rounders Master Calendar Confirmed – Key Dates for Clubs, Players and Supporters
GAA Rounders has officially released the Master Calendar for the 2026 season, giving clubs across the country a clear roadmap from March right through to November. With a packed schedule featuring interprovincial action, juvenile championships, Féile events and All-Ireland finals, 2026 promises to be one of the busiest and most exciting seasons yet.
Major Shift in GAA Rounders Finals Format for 2026 Season
The 2026 season will see a major change in how GAA Rounders stages its All-Ireland finals – and it’s a genuinely progressive move for the sport.
Historically, Senior finals were held on a separate day, while Junior and Intermediate finals shared another. While that worked, it still meant finals were spread across grades rather than codes, and some competitions inevitably felt secondary on the day.
That structure is now changing.
Finals Now Organised by Code – Not Grade
For the first time, finals will be grouped by Men’s, Women’s and Mixed competitions – with all grades within each code played on the same day.
That means:
•Senior
•Intermediate
•Junior
…all within the same code will now share one finals day.
Season Gets Underway in March
The competitive calendar begins on Sunday, 29 March with the Interprovincial Championship, set to take place at a central venue (TBC). From there, league fixtures for Senior and Intermediate grades start on Sunday, 19 April, running weekly throughout the spring and summer at club venues nationwide.
A Junior Blitz Day is scheduled for Saturday, 2 May, offering younger players a fantastic opportunity to experience festival-style competition early in the season.
Busy Juvenile Championship Programme
Juvenile action is once again a major feature of the calendar, with several marquee events:
- Saturday, 16 May – U14 Boys & Girls All-Ireland Championship (Munster)
- Saturday, 30 May – U14 Mixed All-Ireland Championship (Connacht)
- Saturday, 13 June – U13 Féile (Central venue)
- Sunday, 21 June – U15 John West Féile (Carlow/Laois)
- Saturday, 4 July – U16 Boys & Girls All-Ireland Championship (Ulster)
(Note: This may move to 18 July depending on Community Games scheduling) - Saturday, 12 September – U16 Mixed All-Ireland Finals (Leinster)
These dates ensure young players across all provinces get their moment on the national stage.
Championship Phase Begins Late July
The business end of the season kicks off with the Junior Quarter-Finals on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July. This is followed by:
- Junior Semi-Finals: 8 & 9 August
- Intermediate Semi-Finals: 15 & 22 August
- Senior Semi-Finals:
- Men & Women – 16 August
- Mixed – 23 August

- Sunday, 30 August – Women’s Finals (Senior, Intermediate & Junior)
- Sunday, 6 September – Men’s Finals
- Sunday, 13 September – Mixed Finals
All finals venues remain TBC but are expected to be announced well in advance.
