GAA Rounders Final 2026
Club & Team Power Rankings

The final verdict after the All-Ireland Championships

The results are in, the nine All-Ireland champions have been crowned and the 2026 GAA Rounders Championship season is complete.

When we last updated the rankings in May, Breaffy sat top of the overall club rankings, with Erne Eagles second, Glynn Barntown third, Galway City Rapparees fourth and Carrickmacross Emmets fifth.

Four months later, we now have a full season of evidence. These final rankings take into account Championship level, overall results, knockout performances, All-Ireland titles, finals appearances, strength across multiple codes and the depth each club displayed throughout 2026.

Winning at Senior level carries the greatest weight, but outstanding performances in Intermediate and Junior are also recognised — particularly where clubs have shown strength across several teams.

Power Rankings: These are editorial rankings rather than official GAA Rounders standings. They are designed to assess where clubs and teams stand at the end of the 2026 season.

FINAL 2026 CLUB POWER RANKINGS

Overall club strength across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Rounders.

🥇 #1 • MAY: #1 • HOLDING
Breaffy
SENIOR MIXED CHAMPIONS • SENIOR WOMEN FINALISTS • SENIOR MEN SEMI-FINALISTS

Breaffy started our May rankings at number one and there is not enough evidence to knock them off the top. All three teams competed at Senior level, all three reached the final four, the Mixed team won the All-Ireland and the Women reached another national final. No other club matched that combination of depth and performance entirely at Senior level.

🥈 #2 • MAY: #4 • ▲2
Galway City Rapparees
2 ALL-IRELAND TITLES • 3 FINALISTS • SENIOR MEN SEMI-FINALISTS

One of the seasons of the year. Rapparees won the Intermediate Women and Intermediate Mixed All-Irelands, reached the Junior Mixed final and made the Senior Men’s semi-final in their first season at the top level. Their Junior Men also reached the last four. The only thing keeping them from number one is that Breaffy produced their results entirely at Senior level.

🥉 #3 • MAY: #2 • ▼1
Erne Eagles
SENIOR MEN CHAMPIONS • SENIOR WOMEN SEMI-FINALISTS

Erne Eagles reclaimed the Senior Men’s All-Ireland with an emphatic final victory over Carrickmacross. Their Women also reached the Senior semi-finals and the club again demonstrated considerable depth across the Championship.

#4 • MAY: #5 • ▲1
Carrickmacross Emmets

Three Senior semi-final appearances and a Senior Men’s All-Ireland final. Carrick may have finished without a national title, but reaching the business end of all three Senior Championships is an outstanding measure of club strength.

#5 • MAY: #3 • ▼2
Glynn Barntown

A run to the Senior Mixed All-Ireland final keeps Glynn Barntown among the leading clubs in Ireland. Their overall Senior presence and established depth remain significant.

#6 • MAY: #6 • ▬
Limekiln

The Senior Women’s All-Ireland champions produced one of the performances of Finals season to defeat Breaffy 16–15. A Senior national title keeps Limekiln firmly inside the top six.

#7 • MAY: #10 • ▲3
Kilmore

Junior Mixed All-Ireland champions, Intermediate Men’s semi-finalists and Junior Women’s semi-finalists. Few clubs outside the Senior heavyweights matched Kilmore for depth across the three codes.

#8 • BIG MOVER
St Senan’s

Two All-Ireland final appearances is a major return. St Senan’s reached the Intermediate Men’s decider and the Junior Women’s final, narrowly missing out in both.

#9 • BIG MOVER
St Clare’s

One of the stories of the season. St Clare’s were ranked only 14th in the Men’s rankings in May but finished the campaign as Intermediate Men’s All-Ireland champions.

#10 • NEW TOP 10
Gusserane

The Junior Men’s All-Ireland champions complete the top ten after a superb knockout campaign, culminating in a dramatic 14–13 final victory over Myshall.

Final Word

The May rankings were still built partly around reputation, early-season form and previous Championship pedigree. By September, the picture is much clearer.

Breaffy retain the number one club ranking after backing up their early-season form with a Senior Mixed All-Ireland title, a Senior Women’s final appearance and a Senior Men’s semi-final.

Galway City Rapparees make the biggest move at the very top, climbing from fourth to second following two All-Ireland titles and three final appearances, while Erne Eagles complete the top three after reclaiming the Senior Men’s crown.

Elsewhere, Kilmore, St Senan’s, St Clare’s and Gusserane are among the clubs whose Championship performances transformed their standing over the course of the summer. With promotion and relegation reshaping the grades again, the 2027 rankings could look very different indeed.
